I understand that Maura behavior in this chapter was for comedic purposes but she is beyond useless and venture into being harmful. In normal circumstances, she would have been the one who doom any other party by her antics.

She's just fine as a companion for the idiotic MC. If she was an all-around competent person, she couldn't possibly bear teaming up with Gaile for too long. Of course she could still still buy stuff from him (for dirt cheap), but that's probably it, unless she had the patience of Buddha, which she doesn't have. Even Gaile's old team, despite being hopeless morons themselves, couldn't keep working with him forever. But since Maura has flaws of her own, and she recognises those flaws herself, she can tolerate the flaws of others better, as there's a certain kind of balance. Once the old team started to fancy themselves immaculate heroic champions, they kicked Gaile out, as Gaile's flaws started to stand out in their eyes.

Def doesn't make sense to me to have had Maura be S-rank and then also behaving the way she did... I really hate when characters are nerfed to make MC look better.

One thing I liked a lot this chapter was how they explained his mindset of "dispel" vs purify (idk how his empathy-based approach had to do with term dispel but I'll just assume it doesn't translate well). It makes sense if he has a different approach and that's what makes his artifacts OP, pretty cool

Seriously, there's so much potential comedy in having one of 2 S-Rank supports be terrified of the undead. She should be a bubble right now, with Maple levels of defense stacking so that enemy attacks literally bounce off of her.

Obviously it works in this world's setting, but it seems a bit strange to me that he can still use the materials for cursed items. Typically bones/etc are associated with cursed items / used as parts because of the grudges applied (not just the association with being dead), so considering his ability completely resolves their grudge, it seems weird that the cleansed items are still high enough quality to be used as fodder for his top-tier curses.

She's supposed to be a high-tier support cleric, not a mage nor any kind of attack or defense based adventurer; she has always been supposed to be helping from the rearlines with attackers, defenders and other kind of adventurers nearby, not be in the middle of the fight with another support-based adventurer with a poor grasp on common sense.

That's why the idiots tried to replace the MC with her, because she was always meant to fill the exact same type of support role as he once did.
