It's a nice concept, but Idk. Something about this bugs me, I think the same way that making the old party weak as hell. This makes priest not just a bad guy, but also dumb because they always have this better and more effective way to kill undead at their disposal.

Just when you'd think this man came from a place of kindness and empathy when it comes to dealing with the undead, he drops a line like "they simply appear as mere materials to me". For a moment there I thought he was gonna start a game of undead croquet. :pepela:

The writing appears to suffer too much from overly nerfing everyone else to make the protag look good. Even the entirety of the cleric/exorcist class look like idiots now. I had forgotten Maura is technically S-rank and even she looks like a complete dead weight here, almost as bad as his original party. Her only value for now being comic relief and ship bait because of the relatively non-serious tone here.

Even if she lacks offensive power she's supposed to at least y'know, be able to make competent decisions being highly ranked and all, when she's not supposed to be incompetent like his old party was. Like she knows she's scared, the least she could do is not hinder him; Actually staying behind was a reasonable choice if she couldn't overcome her fears in time to be useful there. But okay, let's bring her along for the gags I guess.

Obviously it works in this world's setting, but it seems a bit strange to me that he can still use the materials for cursed items. Typically bones/etc are associated with cursed items / used as parts because of the grudges applied (not just the association with being dead), so considering his ability completely resolves their grudge, it seems weird that the cleansed items are still high enough quality to be used as fodder for his top-tier curses.
I think the reason he's able to use the curses is that with dispel, their grudges are left in the world, and not taken with them to the afterlife like with purification. Or at least thats my educated guess based off the differences between the two.

Oh my God she is so annoying. She constantly whines and questions his methods, despite him proving himself right again and again, never shuts up, and doesn't do a damn thing. Is this our heroine...? Will this story be okay? Author, you can't slap big tits on someone and think that'll excuse their behavior or lack of relevance.

Again, there's oddly potential in the idea. S-Rank is terrified of undead, and generally never takes missions involving them. She is also support.

Thus when things go wrong and she ends up encountering even weak undead she completely overreacts and goes full self-buff.

As in she spends way too long setting up buffs on herself, layers on enough defensive wards to make a tank proud, and promptly raises her movement speed as high as possible, just in case.

Only for a ghost to creep up behind her as she's setting up and spook her, resulting in her literally running through a zombie hoard in a panic, cause she's that over-stated.

I get 100% of what you are saying, but by what the Author set uo, S-Rank is the highest rank, so the person must be ready to fight any monsters with the correct party composition. an S-rank is the elite of the elite. if the person has that much problem against common monsters like skeletons, how the fuck could she get S-rank?
