So why didn't MC talk to his mother about Shiika being the daughter of the rapist? It was as if his mother didn't know, so all the more reason for him to talk to her about it. This sort of writing where a lack of communication forces the plot or forces the lack of progression in the plot is so damn frustrating. And then of course conveniently some book falls out and opens on just the right page. I'm going to give it the benefit of the doubt and assume Shiika intentionally dropped that book out for him to see, but with the piss poor writing so far, maybe the author seriously wants it to have been a coincidence.

Now I think the story have 2 assumptions :

• First, Shiika want a revenge from the start because MC kill his father. Maybe structured revenge so she can give him mental torture or some kind "emotional damage" after recovering his trauma.
• 2nd, instead revenge, Shiika saw MC as a hero because he saves her from her father. The wild assumption is, Shiika also a r*pe victim. Yeah it just assumption that probably her father not only abuse MC sister but also her own daughter. That's why she want to repay to be "his sister".

Well, the story is interesting but I hope it got good ending direction rather than bad ending.

I too hope that it's the second option. But we never got an explanation for why the MC found her in the kitchen at night with her hand on a knife... she wasn't cooking or eating anything from what I remember.

I THINK, it could be the first option too and maybe she didn't know why the MC killed her dad when she wrote that plan and swore revenge but in the 5 years maybe she found out and felt like it wasn't worth taking revenge since he was justified...

I am still hoping for a good ending here...

Hope not, don't want Shiika be a rape victim too just to be a plot device for her to get along with mc. And besides option 2 is too common too.

Probably Shiika dad wasn't a monster to her, but growing up she learned the consequences of his crime and felt guilty abt it.
I mean, people probably shunned her for being a rapist daughter. Her relatives left her. I even bet the bullying is related to it.
And the only one welcoming her is the mother of the family his dad ruined.
She probably feels guilty and gratefull to them and wants to compensate somehow this new family she has.

As fucked as it sounds, I hope that she was glad that the MC killed her father because he's also abusing her and she was really glad that she has a chance to have a family. Although it is rather twisted that her soon-to-be family is involved in her life in a rather unpleasant way. I do not know if a child as young as her is capable of planning and executing a long term revenge plan unless if she's a genius. If she really wanted to kill him/his family, she would've shank them the first opportunity she got.
