It's a perfectly fine quick read. I felt like the author just run out of steam. There is alot of doom in this and the payoff at the end is fine but it's brief. Not sure if it's balanced right and that's purely due to length.

That was the last chapter, but the physical volume 3 would be released later

i.e. Chapter of a manga comes out weekly in the weekly Shounen Jump, later chapters of that manga are collected to make tankobon (physical books)

My opinion is that he should understand that what he did is right and should be proud of himself.
So what if Shiika had no one else to take care of her after her father died? The older brother might have even saved her of being raped by her own father in the future, it seems he had a historic of rapes since Shiika seems to be born of a rape act too.

I think the picture from Yuri's phone in chapter 10 and Shiika's wounds in chapter 15 seems to imply that her dad was already abusing her. On chapter 15, page 19 Shiika's thinking "Now she sheds tears like me. She's become like me"

But I don't think Shiika was born of a rape act. The only thing I could find regarding Shiika's mother (Yukie) was the fact that she died giving birth to Shiika (Chapter 15, page 9). Which is probably led to Shiika being abused

I read this a little while ago and I quite liked it. Reading the comments makes me wonder if I need to reread it though... But besides what other people think, I thought it was a pretty interesting story. Even if some parts at the end felt a little off, I think it still ended okay.
