Firstly I need to know whether Japanese culture is actually like that?. They are essentially guilt tripping MC over killing of a paedofile? None of the societies I know do that, not Islamic and Christianity atleast. Any paedofilic killer is a hero in making. This is essentially a psychological manga between killer and daughter of the killed one.
I am really glad my fellow otakus(jk) are all on same page regarding morality of killing a paedofile.

Sighs....... All these tragic japanese mangas have characters with weak mindsets.
The older brother is really weak minded.
My opinion is that he should understand that what he did is right and should be proud of himself.
So what if Shiika had no one else to take care of her after her father died? The older brother might have even saved her of being raped by her own father in the future, it seems he had a historic of rapes since Shiika seems to be born of a rape act too.
I think that up to now everything is going through the path that it should have gone (killing Shiika's father and adopring her to take care of her), it's just that all their mindsets are bad and idiotic, weak. Why think it's wrong? It's not wrong. Rapists must die, and for that to happen, someone has to kill, why bother thinking it's wrong? Having blood in your hands? Oh boy be a man, be a human being, kill to protect who needs protection <3

what are you talking about one of those religions are notorious for marring children to adults (usually girls to old men) can you guess which spoilers its Christianity.
as for the guilt its more the fact he feels guilt for the impact it had on an innocent child which is fair hed need to be a sociopath not to
