Is this not heavily undercut by the fact that she kills herself and tells people (via suicide note) only slightly later? Possibly the very same day? Mabe a few days tops? Like ok she doesn't tell them about Shiina being abused, but if that's what the teacher was saying she shouldn't tell anyone about then both her and the teacher are incredibly fucking stupid.

Its bittersweet and all, and maybe its because she was young and naive.

But to just go and confront the abusive man, without calling anyone or collecting evidence to tell the police first.

Then after saying all that to shiika to commit unalive?

I don't know how to describe it. It seems contradicting, might be a story flaw or just yuri's character being not strong enough.

wait guys i think the chinese scanslators got a small detail wrong... the father's name is not nishimi, it's matsumoto (ch6 page 32) (also on ch7 pg16). lesson learned, don't do no raw challenge kids

might just be the trauma... all hitting her once she got home, she stayed strong while Shiina was there, but once she left, her mentally just broke.
alot of suicides are kinda on the spot moments and many people that have survived their attempts have stated how much they regretted it...

At this point, somehow i hate it why the sister suicide, like you want to save her, but you leave her
she was too young herself, she tried acting brave and truly wanted to help, but that trauma broke her when she was alone

Bruh... what? I understand the dad being mad at Shiika because she "killed his wife", but how does he then turn around and become a rapist who rapes Yuri? I thought his backstory was gonna be that he's a pervy man who was always staring at Yuri, but instead it seems like an almost entirely unprovoked crime of opportunity. What is his motive for raping Yuri?

This story would be much easier to read if the MC didn't blame himself for the murder or even consider himself a murderer. He did nothing morally wrong there, he just broke the sociel order and sat his time for that. If he didn't blame himself, he could have also silenced those idiot coworkers. If his only regret was not being able to save his sister, it would be much better. Alas, all the central characters in this story bear deep psychological problems, so it can't be helped. It's the theme.

CAN WE HAVE NOT A SAD BACK STORY FOR THE RAPIST JUST FOR ONCE JAPAN?
Not every thing should be explained you know. Can we just let a rapist be an actual rapist?
His background really doesn’t make him any more sympathetic nor attempt to provide justifications or explanation for the rape. It gives insight on why he resents his daughter but it isn’t excusing his behavior.
