God this is so refreshing. Its so clear how much thought the author put into each of his characters, their journeys, their though processes and how they adapt and grow.

It's also been a while since I have been exciting to see an isekai MC's awakening to new power. In others, it's just something that happens every few chapters because it might get boring otherwise. This is something that is going to define him from now on and has been slowly built up since the beginning. Even the bread which I thought was just some food was revealed to be Marie preparing for this.

And I actually felt like he earned the connection he had with this god. He felt infinitely grateful for the second chance, the memories from the past, and his second family. So he devotes himself to the path of his deity for everyone else's safety but also because he genuinely believes in it from his teaching and experience.

I was also listening to Ludwig, The Holy Blade while reading this chapter which probably made this more hype. God Paladins are the shit.

Just a bit of backlash from how evil many religions have been in real life. We will undoubtedly see bad religions of "good" gods.

The contrast between the good and the bad even among those who serve the same supposed cause will be interesting if done right. I trust this author with it right now though.

Paladins done right are brilliant. The reason many superman and other paladin-esque characters suck is because no one understands the parts of a paladin story that made them great. Has nothing to do with how powerful said paladin is or what they fight for. They fail to understand the nuance within the character.

I can't get enough of this.
I don't even mind the uber-long releases, when you get such quality of story, you just don't mind waiting because you know your wishes of spending a great time will sure be fulfilled.
Oh tho greats Spirits of the Pen & Quill, may tho bless such good authors (and scanlators) with good will, luck and health !

If I may be allowed a quibble...

The archaic English (used, I presume, because the raws use archaic Japanese) is error-ridden, throughout.

Examples:
Page 8: "Why hath thou" should be "Why hast thou"
Page 16: "Doth thou love" should be "Dost thou love"
Page 16: "Doth thou hath" should be "Dost thou have"
Page 18: "Raise thine head" should be "Raise thy head"
Page 18: "I hath certainly received'th heartfelt words" should be "I have certainly received thy heartfelt words" (Or better, "Truly, I have heard thy heartfelt words"), assuming the original uses 確かに.
Page 20: "Make thine vow" should be "Make thy vow"

Now, I know a lot of people have trouble with correctly using archaic English, but I really don't think it is that hard. And, if you feel uncertain about it, why not just use current English?

And now he's finally a Paladin. I'm interested where it's gonna go for him after this current story is over.

We’re just about to finish LN’s volume one. The action scenes are a bit choppy, but the great story, world building, character developing make up for everything.

Stagnate’s not even that bad of a person, since he sincerely wishes to create an undead paradise, free of pain and suffering, where everyone can be with their friends and family forever. The concept of heaven does not quite exist in this setting, and Stagnate sincerely grows remorseful when true heroes die, and their journeys are cut short. In this sense, as of right now in the current novel, Stagnate and Gracefeel are the only two gods that sincerely care about mortals, with no secret agendas of their own. If Stagnate had a hidden motive, it’d be that he’s a hero otaku, and wanted to have Gus, Blood, and Mary at all costs.

Btw, it’s only a very minor spoiler and doesn’t change much, but since you can only have one god’s Blessing at a time, and gaining various gods’ blessings tend to be like winning super power lotteries, in modern day, Gracefeel is treated as a dead or forgotten god. Her main perk is simply “Turn Undead”, which isn’t very useful for every day life, or any fight that isn’t against undead, sadly.

This is just so worth it to read, a actual determinded MC in a Isekai, a truly good story among all the average and decent manga's.
And the adaption also is one of the best i have seen, with only some info-dumps being cut.

Once again, read the LN, it surpasses the manga by FAR.

@ Zethuron sadly nobody seems to want to translate it despite the really good rating or are there other sites that offer them?

Well, it was an attempt to show her way of speech really. That said, thanks for the quibble. We do not claim to be perfect after all. I will see to fixing that! @freakofnature

Remember though, easy for you isn’t necessarily easy for others sometimes.

@Belisar if it is hard when doing archaic English you should ask @freakofnature to help with QC or just to review it before release if they are better at it then normal people(me) they will notice it and when you release it we get good chapters with wonderful and correct uses of older forms of common English which is always enjoyable in any story about fantasy
