I genuinely cannot recommend this title enough. Every chapter has been enjoyable, the pacing has felt just right, and the overall plot / story doesn't force itself into tropes and the usual isekai shenanigans. My only complaint is the translation / release speed, just makes me wish there was more to read, especially considering where's its currently left off at. I do think I'll be trying to start the light novel if it goes further than the manga since I've heard good things of it.

That's rather incredible. It's still good after 60+ chapters??

It’s fine i just wish that there was more of the depth thoughtout that that was shown up to his departure. I probably couldn’t handle the tears on a regular basis but that arc hit so hard thats its hard to match. I’m a little concerned about the power curve after the rust mountain arc.

For once i think i agree with the comments, this manga is a cut above the others. Art style, story, characters, and the fact that is an isekai where the protagonist isn't some kind of psycho/perv who manages to get an harem for no reason other than breathing. Hell, i even feel bad for the guy not getting anyone. Regardless, or maybe because of that, it's a fantastic read. I put it as a second in my top reads (berserk holds a special place in my heart), and now I'll try to find the LN and see if there is an ending.

As a Spice & Wolf fan, the joke comments about saihate no economist made me start this manga.

I was already on the verge of my tears by chapter 13, this shi- is goated.

It takes something special for a manga to actually pull me in.

This is what Rings of Power should’ve been. It has the Tolkien spine, the weight of words, dead kingdoms, old scars in the earth, gods that corrupt instead of cosplay, hope that has to be earned. A path of humility, duty, patience. Will reads like Frodo and Aragorn in one. It’s like Tolkien's ghost guides the mangaka or whispers here in his sleep or some weird voodoo shit.

The old man’s gone, but whatever lived in his work is alive here, panel by panel.

Again, straight 10 out of 10.

Fuck your isekai harem incel power fantasy. This is the magnum opus of Japan’s high fantasy.

The power curve is... a problem, for sure. The manga trivialized human opponents way too soon by having the MC be totally OP. This removes a really important source of drama in the story, unless they give us something like a political conspiracy arc where a shadow cabal of elites turn against Will.

Personally, I was disappointed after it started to seem like Will's "past life" wouldn't play a part in his character. You'd think that someone who lived a previous life in a modern magicless world would have a unique perspective on the fantasy universe. You'd think they'd use accumulated knowledge from their past life, and think about the people they used to know, but Will doesn't. His past memories are just justification by the writer to make him even more cringe-inducingly perfect isekai.
