It's kinda funny, her hair color is different in the anime, so the comparison isn't as easy. Actually, I think they basically gave her the OPPOSITE hair color, probably for exactly this reason

probably 2-4 more chapters before that based on quickly they move through the cleanup. After that the cat becomes a much more present part of the story.

God it feels so good to see this arc handled well. This also feels like a much better balance, where in the original LN they didn't really dwell on Mira much aside from her being cornered, but also don't spend half an episode building up her story on how she regrets everything ever. God I didn't like the anime.

I imagine this chapter would be a bit hard to follow if you read it these few months after the last release, and if you're not familiar with the story. But a bar brawl tends to be chaotic, and it does reflect that.

Either way I like her being more than just outright evil.

Outright evil characters are usually not interesting. They can be, in the right stories and written for them, but quite often, no.

Grateful for the translation, but damn, am I reminded of how difficult this manga has gotten to follow the flow of the dialogue, I read the entire chapter, but almost the entire time I had 0 clue who was saying what.

Whoever makes these speech bubbles seriously should draw arrows leading to the speaker, or have small sprites of the speaker attached to the speech bubbles, whatever floats the boat would make it far more easier to follow the flow of the dialogue.

agreed. I think here she’s interesting because there’s a parallel to our mc, looked down upon because she’s a low ranked tamer. Maybe this is even who she’d be if good people hadn’t helped her
