They're an organization engaged in child trafficking, and other things it appears. I think it was directly stated, but it could have just been an implication, still the intent was to sell her as a sex slave.

She was/is, they didn't figure out her disguise, and her being a boy in their view was not a negative. I'm pretty sure she told the adventurers she trusts at one point.

They were specifically looking for little boys for nobles with those kinds of taste.
Ivy is normally in danger being a girl traveling alone which is why she cross-dressed, but just got unlucky that her disguise is what attracted their attention to her.

Only the group she became friendly with knows that she is a girl, but they all (minus one) figured it out on their own. Her age was what clued them in. She looks like a child of 5-6 due to malnourishment which is the age boys and girls look alike, but due to her correcting them of her age....they pieced together that she's actually a girl. She eventually told them once Ratlua let it slipped that he knew, but others outside that group still think she's a boy. However, she was warned that she won't be able to hide it much longer.

I think the main problem with this arc's length is that it's too early in the story for a long arc like this. I don't think people would be complaining as much if we'd been acclimated to longer and longer arcs slowly instead of jumping right into this behemoth

I wonder if the Slime had detected Mira's hesitancy to being involved or her own guilt, or not wanting to do it anymore so the slime reacted by going dormant because of its tamer's intention 🤔 seems like a long shot based on the last panels but-

If she didn't meet the people in this town, she would still be out in the woods with her badass black panther friend. Pretty sure that's what she was going to say, but stopped to not hurt any feelings.

Literally, the only punishment in this world is slavery. I don’t even think they have jails. It’s just a question of how long She’ll be a slave for and what kind of conditions she’ll be subjected to (hard manual labor vs serving someone as a maid).

Ivy is normally in danger being a girl traveling alone which is why she cross-dressed, but just got unlucky that her disguise is what attracted their attention to her.

there is some incredible, dark irony about her dressing up as a boy to avoid being attacked by men, only for the people targeting her to specifically be after boys. There’s certainly would’ve been a strange moment if they did actually capture her and realize her gender. Though I’m sure there’s also market for that.

Can’t wait for them to make an appearance. The series definitely finds its rhythm at that point
