Props to Ratlua for taking Ivy's side over that of his long-time old friend. It takes resolve to make that kind of rational decision when he's only known Ivy for not even a year, even with himself visually confirming the presence of Mira and her brother stalking Ivy. Some people would choose to huff copium even in the presence of visual evidence. He didn't.

Also Ivy took a big risk telling them about Sora, but it's good they believed her without demanding her to show Sora to them. She actually told them one of her (many) secrets that not even Captain Oguto knew.

Love this manga, it keeps things grounded and as a result stuff feels impactful. The usual power creep in isekai takes all the tension away.

Don't want it to happen here, but it would be interesting if one of these days a manga/ln/wn took the opportunity to cultivate a character to this kind of point, maybe even further, but then actually had them fall victim to some kind of horrid threat, and make it stick. One of the few ones that I can remember that went there was basically Casca from Berserk.
