Holy crap. This manga actually has me liking the haughty rich girl character, Mirei.

She's genuinely nice and looks out for the MC as a human being, with no deep meaning behind it. She has her clear flaws as a human, namely her jealousy and feelings of ibferiority, but she treats the MC with actual respect and tells him to value himself more.

I don't even necessarily want to see her in any kind of romantic relationship with the MC. I just want to see her be a super cool person.

Yeah, she's pretty cool. Despite feeling insulted, she doesn't go down that path, but instead maintains respect and gives him some advice. Drill hair's great, too.
