And I could go on and on. The author kept stacking random bullshit for shock value and so that people would stick around to see how it resolves, that's without taking into account the blatant sex/masturbation scenes that were there only to boost sales. Everything apart from the last few chapters proved to be totally irrelevant - that's like ~ 80 chapters of irrelevant bullshit, that's how the author decided to "resolve" the whole thing. A good author makes every little detail in his works relevant to the plot, so when you get to the resolution of a very tangled up story and you see how everything fits into place you feel satisfied. This one was simply throwing red herrings around and being random, pretty sure he didn't know what the plot was supposed to be till the last few chapters. And the resolution was beyond sloppy. "It was just a dream" can't fix every single one of those plot holes. Compare this pile of trash to "Rule of Rose" or "Alice Madness Returns" for example (both of these are games to boot, so they don't even need to have a good story, as John Carmack would say: "Story in a game is like a story in a porn movie. It's expected to be there, but it's not that important.") all deal with a dream world, however every single detail in the latter adds to the plot, and everything in the dream world is psychologically motivated.
Consider the other works of the author - it becomes immediately evident that my conclusion is most likely true and the plot is simply an afterthought to somewhat mask the fact that this is a cash grab based solely on sex.

it was presented as is from the very first page of the first chapter, and waving it away with a "mental issues" was pretty much a given by the 5th one.
