Four chapters in and I’m assuming the character is mega weak for reasons the story will fix later but these beginning chapters don’t pull me to read it further. You’d think that he would have some fighting instincts that aren’t tied to the sword from his past life, but I think all he has is tenacity.

Do people not understand what "For reasons" means? It means "for unexplained, vague, nonsensical 'reasons'", i.e. someone handwaving something away.

Weak because she's a small girl, who moreover has not had years of training and combat is an obvious explanation, not "for reasons".

Yeah instantly recognized the mangaka from "yandere dungeon". (Though he's the mangaka, not the story writer, so I wouldn't expect same story vibes as yandere dungeon has.)

Pretty nice for an artist to have a clearly recognizable style. That style has some weaknesses, but overall I quite like it. Solid contrasts, well drawn environments, detailed and varied characters, good action.
