From reading the translation of the novel (I'm not sure if it's WN or LN), the book is quite wholesome. But this manga somehow makes this story extra-lewd.
In particular, the princess in the illustrations is transported while dressed.

They had to leave the city before takeoff, because Berseria can destroy buildings and harm unprotected humans while taking off. On the plus side, she made the whole journey in a matter of minutes, while the protection spell lasted.
And the Princess' Charm was the thing that aggroed the monsters. It was calculated risk.

I guess in this setting, "dragon knight" is not so much about gaining a dragon's trust, as about being able to survive being on a dragon for prolonged periods of time.
