Have you even read the manga? We are on the road to nowhere but the journey is like tanking acid 24/7 and we are still going.

On the side note, they already said about something that causes the demons to go rampage and now it's infecting humans too.

While we're still on side quest, the main quest probably to find out the rampage cause and neutralize it.
