What "twist"? Are you talking about the course of their date? The misunderstanding about the phone call? That they end up together in the first place?
Also, no story is brand new, everything is an iteration of something that came before. I'd argue the more important point of focus is whether it's satisfying independent of how novel the plot point is.
If it wasn't for you, then just say that. But otherwise you're just speaking in these vague points that are forcibly neutral like you want to make a statement but refuse to put yourself behind it.
