I don't know whether this was already suggested, but I skimmed the megathread and couldn't find anything about it, so I'm making a formal suggestion.

I have a not too embarrassing confession that anyone who's read any of them on this site already knows. I have a major weak spot for otome game reincarnations and isekai with female leads. However, it is kind of a pain to search for them. I usually end up looking up "Isekai OR Video Games OR Reincarnation OR Virtual Reality" under Shoujo or Josei (which unfortunately excludes some great series for general audiences, or miscategorized series, but that's not the point right now) (tangent, it irritates me so much when one of them, or any manga, from a josei publication and written by a mangaka who generally writes josei, gets categorized as seinen just cause it's more mature. Like, people, please, read some josei, they're great. Not to say that my thoughts on what constitutes a genre is absolute truth or that people should gatekeep and generalize who reads what on the basis of age and gender, but sometimes publishers have their targetted audience explicitly in their name, and I guess my true motive is that I want more people to read josei so more josei will be scanlated. I am on a josei binge and am loving it. Anyways.)

It's not that it's super difficult to just click like 6 boxes, but this is just the example when I thought to ask. Tragically, when I just bookmark the search to my browser, it sometimes clears my search parameters. I've got some subgenre searches that take more than a dozen clicks and a minute to get through, so this is more like a time saving thing more than an essential feature

I'm sorry, but this makes no sense to me. The parameters are a part of the url. Bookmarking it preserves the url as it is, which is exactly what happened when I just tried it in Firefox and Chrome. What your browser definitely shouldn't be doing is arbitrarily modify the bookmarked url sometimes, which makes me wonder if by bookmarking we're talking about the same thing.

If you've been using Edge with the Checkbox option, searching was resetting the search options when, you know, searching. Using the dropdown feature stopped this an instead gave the weirdass URL some people mentioned the URL stuff and it all seems to be fixed, even bookmarking it in Edge and loading said bookmark loaded the URL as is and the search worked as normal, only thing I can think of is are you using some bookmark manager or something on your browser? Only thing I can imagine causing this is a plugin or something that's messing up the URL in the bookmark for... reasons.

Maybe check the URL in the bookmark, or even edit it to the URL you get when using your preferred search options? Because yeah, normal bookmarks should work as normal like Teasday said in Firefox and Chrome, and hell, if Edge is working as intended then you know something is going on with your browser :x

Edit: Should of probably said "Are you using Edge" and not if, but I'm not an intelligent person ;~;

If it's an Edge issue somehow, that should be hopefully fixed by now.

Oh, and I did actually make some changes to the tag url parameters just recently (and will be making more soon with the demographic/pub.status options), so if that's the issue then just update the bookmark.

I've been using Chrome on mobile, so maybe it was cause of the update? I'll go update them later and see what happens. Thanks for the heads up
