I don't really think that this chapter should be that controversial. A good story should be a good mix of positive and negative moments. I feel like that mix is something that makes a story more real and more interesting to follow.

I won't say I'm a fan of that kind of stuff, but at the same time, too, I've seen worse, and this is very tame in comparison, so I doubt it's going to cause much controversy, although I would personally prefer we get less stuff like that in the future.

I found this chapter to be pretty strong, as gender fanservice metacommentary goes. Not the most fun chapter but it didn't feel petty.

It's not like you avoid service in your art, and Mars maturing through his/her cringe-based enlightenment is more powerful than secondary girls because sadly their vocal discomfort rarely proves anything about author intent. Authentically trying to balance all that meta turns the excess into real cruelty Mars has to deal with, including the new creep who should die in a fire.

As always thank goodness for Sage's cute voice of reason when Mars is so conflicted.

Probably about the best way for Mars to stop and ponder how gross he and most of the other boys were being, and even then it took much reasoning from Sage to start breaking through. The perspective shift is all too often played just for a laugh, or really, purely for the fanservice. Mars has a long way to go still, but at least he's not hopeless.

Personally, I like how they handled this. Is there a world where the same message can be conveyed without resorting to this? Hell yeah. However, I am not particularly intelligent, so I can't think of any.

Having Mars experience what it feels like to be on that end, which to me is great. I like how differently they depicted the same scene of Mars grabbing a girl who needs help. On page 16, he was basically groping Ribbons and getting aroused, and after the realization, he did it again on page 30, but seeing how the girl is disturbed, he understands it and feels sick too.

Another great chapter! I think you handled that very well. You weren't preachy and showed Mars is growing as a person. Managing to both have fan service but then also have a bit of meta commentary on it was impressive.

Personally, loved the chapter. I feel it was tastefully done and lets Mars actually understand more about how it feels to be looked at in a sexual way and how creepy it can be. Its not like the boys are purposefully being terrible (at least from what I can tell), they're young and don't understand the kind of effect it can have which Mars was also like until he literally had to take the form of a female.

I really wanted to see more character development from the main character. I feel like he isn't really likeable right now.

The talking about slimy stuff being gross is absolutely relatable. I don't like the slime that people use as a toy very much, it feels gross; also the residue is the worst part. I have that urge to wash my hands now, because I can imagine the texture & I hate it. Slimy stuff is disgusting, & having that feeling over more than just the hands just feels even worse; luckily, my imagination of the texture is limited by experience in this aspect & it does not work for anything other than the hands.

The grossness of slimy textures aside, yay for character development for Mars!- The comments of a lot of the boy characters really made me uncomfortable. So as the chapter intended to make me feel, it was a great chapter for getting the intended reaction that it was going for.

(Also, this is surprisingly one of the few times I decide to comment, I usually already see everything that I would've commented addressed by other people, & beyond my thaughts as well. I just really had to type this somewhere, it gave me too visceral of a reaction from the slimy tentacles.)

Edit: Hands have now been washed thoroughly, much better.

I liked this chapter, the fanservice wasn't egregious or anything and it was a nice way of making mars realise his actions a bit more and empathise with the girls in his class since he's been established to be a bit misogynistic as teenage boys unfortunately usually are

also just realised that transformed she has the hat on even when she wasn't wearing it before putting on the crown, interesting thing to note
