I'm interested in seeing how Mahina can do something about this... if she actually can, that is. Would be great if she could, instead of being the usual damsel-in-distress waiting to be saved, but I don't know how she can. A sudden power acquisition would seem cheap, and she isn't usually smart enough to come up with clever solutions; realistically, it's gonna have to be Makube again coming to save the day isn't it?

Oh know, so the way the procedure works is by preying on the insecurities of people who hate themselves. Chiragashi doesn't hate herself, but Illko does. She seems to hate how she could never protect Makube. She did change her look after all, from Japanese Beauty to stylish Modern Woman. This must have been to distance herself from her past.

I'm not surprised she has an information network. She does seem to have a lot of influence in the world thanks to being a professional exorcist.
