Even with all the comedy, the supernatural in this series is scary AS FUUUUUCK.

So... it wasn't like they didn't explain to Kisaki after, but his own situation and feeling coupled with whatever happened during the trip must have set him heavily in the way he is now.

As he was the one that resolved to hunt the archived cases, he must have done something that is the cause of Makube's memory loss and sensei's disappearance, and he maybe feels guilty... still a prick though.

Thank you for the new chapter. I second Chigisa's "THAT'S IT?!". Me too, want to know what happened next.

Anyone else confused by the dialogue on P.7? "he hates humans... he knows the pain...saving people who struggle with power"? Maybe a mistranslation? or was this talked about before in previous chapters? Will have to remember to look at the raws when they become free on the official site.

It might have been updated and makes more sense now, but my takeaway was that his power revolves around empathy. He might hate people because of this gift, but if he could get over that hatred, he'd be one of the best at helping people overcome their problems.

Ya know, I just had the feeling Kizaki would be resigned to his fate. He's there to "save" those with powers they can't understand, and he was willing to do it because Nimura-sensei said that was why he was there.

Iruko wasn't taking things seriously at first, but in the end, she probably got as traumatized as the other two. Those damage reports must have been terrifying. Makube couldn't even do anything for the guy trapped by the aliens, because that was a problem his supernatural powers couldn't solve. What happened in that one damage report that everyone was prepared to die to stop it?

Nimura-sensei really just wanted Makube to be able to find his own life, and not be always someone who sacrificed himself. But 10 years later, Makube was still just doing damage reports. He was still pretty thoughtlessly living life until Chiragashi came. That's so sad.

Speaking of, what happened to Nimura-sensei? Did he disappear after the last counseling session, leaving only his hand? What attacked him? That must have haunted the trio for the longest time.

@Tanzanite Page 7 has a typo: "Goes" should be "Go". Also, how come Furukawa is inserted into the textbox oddly?

Page 17 also has "Know" instead of "Knew".

I guess the flashback ends with gaps in Kaoru's memory.

Maybe after getting out of the hot spring he takes a look at the damage reports and things go very wrong from there.

There's a reason those 10 damage reports went unsolved for a very long time, and whatever those reasons were, it seemed the three of them could not handle it, even with the prospect of teaming up and coordinating their powers like they used to do.
