Scrolling vertically but getting stopped on page flip? [Fixing]

Since yesterday I‘ve noticed that while scrolling down (on my tablet) if my finger leaves the screen it locks to the closest page or even between them.

is this a bug or a new (mildly infuriating) feature?

Me too, on iOS 18.0.1 (22A3370)
seems to be some sort of apple only problem, but not caused by an apple update, since my version of ios is just over a year old

It feels like it could be a feature since it always seems to stop on the next page seemingly to prevent you from accidentally scrolling too far.

If so if anyone knows the setting to revert it I would greatly appreciate if you’d post that info cuz good lord is it annoying lol.

Please god if this is a feature please revert it. It actively makes reading on mobile a detriment. Highkey considering moving to another primary reading site.

What device + version of Android are you using, and what version of Chrome/Firefox?

regarding mobile browsers, ive noticed that when reading chapters, vertical scrolling intermittently locks or halts at specific page positions. it appears to be syncing with the pagination behavior shown in the progress tab. this issue only started occurring this week, or at least noticed. **its fine when i scroll on the homepage and md forums; the issue only happens when reading chapters.

using i16pm, ios 26.1 and reading MD via add to homepage from safari. also occurs when used directly on safari.

edit: my concern is also occuring on firefox ver145.0

Juts to be clear, this is another issue, the one that you mentioned is something that happened with the latest update on November 11 and is being reviewed by the devs, from talking with other regulars it seems that it disappears when you change the reader settings in the Reader history mode to "Page URL and title won't update", until a proper fix is implemented

@winterume @HelperHand Moved these posts to the right thread, and also all browsers on iOS are Safari under the hood so switching to Firefox won't make a difference.
