I think it's because at first he didn't have a job, and one needed one to become an adventurer, and now he has to keep "jobless" a secret because literally everyone else has one and the goddess told him not to let it be known due to how broken it is.

Even though (I think) they can see his secondary, his primary would also be exposed.
