are they dumb? why do they throw out Adan as the culprit just because he cant see? If he talk a lot with Salome he would know which chair she would sit in. Then it just a matter of "hearing" her coming (he has especially good hearing afterall) and pulling the trigger from the slit

It still takes vision and practice to align a crossbow and shoot straight across a moderate distance, especially through a long and narrow slit in a thick stone wall. It's not something you can just point and click like a videogame, even for people with sight. Moreover, a blind man who had successfully trained to use a crossbow would be a hell of a party trick - unless he'd been practicing in absolute secrecy, and concealing his skills from his own knightly order, the chances he'd have such an ability (and keep it hidden from Erald) is very low. Maybe not zero, but as a practical matter, not worth spending time pursuing.

They go to such a length to hype his ability to fight even when blind, just to throw it away "because of reasons"... Quite sus, if you ask me...

Yes, ruling it out completely did seem excessive and could be a bait by the author.
However, it'd be a better story if we can trust the characters in what is physically possible or not in their world.

It's believable for a blind man to have an effective range (around him) wherein he is able to accurately grasp the position of everything, but beyond this, he's mostly blind. And a crossbow range is pretty big.

Don't underestimate how hard it is to hit targets accurately... Just look at the Olympics and all the gear they have...
On a similar vein on what's physically possible in our world, blind martial artists do exist. Example in Judo: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anthony_Clarke_(judoka), this guy was at a national level in Australia.

Essentially, using our world as a comparison, a blind person on Earth can possibly compete at close to the peak of human performance in melee combat, but there is no blind human on Earth that is at a similar level of competency with any ranged weapon.

Because it would be hard to aim a crossbow without being able to see. He wouldn't know exactly where was sitting, the sound would get distorted through the wall on top of that it would get less accurate further away.

Also she was hit once in the heart by the crossbow which would be even harder I would think for a normal person. I would agree to not discount the blind guy if multiple shots were used but I seriously doubt he was directly involved in murder. If anything, he'll ex machina into helping salome during a critical moment or he heard something in relation to the murder.

I forgot if it already was mentioned, but can only women have gifts? If not, then ...

Was it ever mentioned if Ciro was directly related to Erald(ML) in some way aside from being the saintess candidate from his house? I keep getting the vibe she was his younger sister or something but I don't recall it being said.

Adan being blind is lucky for Salome. Upcoming focus on Violet and Zoe is nice. LMAO at Ines locking onto Laz again.

Bad news, Salome's allure doesn't affect the same sex.
Good news,
Chloe is bi.
