On page 28, when Zoe is talking about adding a jewel to Chloe's outfit, in the original Japanese, she describes it as "scattering fruit" on her, to which Chloe responds saying it would be inappropriate of someone of her position to be scattering fruits. That's where the Ivy growth metaphor comes in (I think. Honestly not 100% on this so if something didn't make sense there, blame me).
