MC becomes a huge cuck, he meets the childhood friend, asks her out (tho not saying he's Haruto from their previous world), get's refused, later the wacky hero tells him that he's together with the girl and he's just like "Kay be happy". So it's semi-NTR, and the MC's personality just gets worse overtime. Picked up some chapters, it's a pain in the ass.

In the LN, the letter crap never happened, bastard hero got owned by MC in the most satisfying way, reveals his true identity to not only his childhood friend but also everyone in the vicinity, and rescued childhood friend from the bastard hero like the MC he should be.
