I hope the next chapter is finally the end of the guildmaster, they've been in this public meeting for what feels like a dozen chapters already, time to wrap it up author-san.
if I recall correctly. He has one more plan after this and it’s really f’ing stupid on his part

"Spirits, bar the doors and set fire to the roof of this building. After 5 minutes kill everyone inside except me and anyone who grovels for my forgiveness."

This whole "arc" is taking forever
why is his power still being "hidden" even at this point of blatant abuse, its been so long with the gaps of updates and just the general pace of the series that I just want some thing interesting to happen but its just been a waste of time

Phew, he's been able to dodge all those bullets thanks to Sylphy.

Shouldn't that contract just be illegal though? If contracts exist then I assume that there are governing laws in the city or country. Some terms of the contract may be specifically disallowed at a higher level precisely to ensure that someone with less knowledge does not get trapped in absurd terms.

In any case, the guild master just provided written evidence of how scummy he is, so Yuuta should definitely make sure to keep it.

Maybe so, but can you imagine the looks on everyone's faces if immediately after he said it the doors all locked and Sylphie pulled a log out of the fireplace and took it upstairs?

I forgot is he needs to be part of the adventurer's guild to have permission to go into the dungeon. If not, I would hope he could simply quit. If yes, he might not be willing to switch to a different city, because his personal merchant is in the current city

I mean it IS meant to be his final try. An 'if all else fails' hail Mary pass. He was hoping any of the others would have worked before he pulled this out in hopes it just got signed without much reading.

Edit: and as others said, probably a lot of people can't read very well, and would have just make their mark and gotten trapped.
"if all else fails, hand the other person physical evidence you're up to no good" is a terrible hail mary pass. The rest have minimal risk.

I think this part is kinda dragging to the point that I might have forgotten why he had to get roped into this elaborate deal he knows is bogus. Why not just show off and prove not only his power but also the incompetence of people who misjudged his abilities.

Also, outside of the guild master getting fired and worked to the bone, does the MC get to actually show off?

in the WN...
if im not mistaken its written very small font or in roundabout way, so its not totally blatant

he is not only fired, but he also need to pay for the damages he caused which make him goes bankrupt, got humiliated by the other guild head (whom advise him just to give up, retire, and pay the damage), and later together with the girl assistant are sent to gulag (some kind of detention place or mining ground (something like that) around the mc forest, which actually famous for being very dangerous)
The girl assistant... The receptionist?? Wasn't she alright though, aside from being a bit too pushy on the children issue?

Does the WN provide any explanation of why he keeps going back to that guild? Are there no other cities?
Its fine if the MC is planning to take them down a notch but most people would just walk and not come back.
I guess it's mostly spite. Other than providing us with a clear but relatively harmless villain, he's hung up on getting "revenge" on them for harassing him and belittling his spirits.
As far as I recall, he's fueled by pettiness rather than justice or common sense

Also there was only a choice between two cities, and he has made some good connections here.

@KittyBlue9 On page 11, panel 2 and page 12, panel 3, there is a typo with lower floors should be upper floors.

And thanks for the translation!
