The publishers in Japan might have a bone of contention with you for claiming "thus we own the right to release it as our works." Never forget that scanlation is ALWAYS violating some publisher's international copyright and the only thing keeping you out of court is whether it's more hassle to prosecute than to ignore. Start claiming various "rights" to the work and you'll find that their lawyers will increasingly find the need for prosecution.

I love how some scanlator groups act all whinny like they are the ownes of the mangas when they are as much pirates as the next guy.

It is sad to see some good work on the hands of such groups that makes release at snail pace and starting complaining about sniping or something else if anyone else have insterest on it.

Some groups are so whinny that I rather go as low as read on an aggregator than on their homepage.

@Fadamor I'm just assuming you're too dumb to realize that the "claim" is for the scan works, NOT the raw nor the content. This has to be done otherwise people are going to flag our release as stolen from Hatigarm, even though we have the TL doc and source PSD files thus owning the works.
