Imo, them being second cousins is not a big deal. First cousins, I get it. But second cousins are like, the absolute maximum of what someone could reasonably feel icky about, and even then it's a stretch. They only share ~3% DNA, after all. Honestly, I think people have been conditioned by the Internet to overreact to any possible relations between partners.

I meant that after reading this last chapter, I was confused with that sudden explanation that the grandmother is apparently related.
So I tried to look back to see if there's already a hint of it somewhere before.
You know I thought that people who spend this much money on a big ass house and a gigantic crew of house cleaners didn't exist. Then I was out on a walk in dampsey hill and saw a gigantic SPOTLESS mansion. It was very obvious that it belonged to one family, not like an apartment or whatever. It had many statues in the front (Greek statues, gigantic eagles, buried Chinese soldiers), and a few sport cars. I can't stress how God damn spotless it was. Even regular smaller houses, people struggle to keep clean. This was like a big ass mall that stretched several blocks, and was somehow kept completely clean
