I was scrolling through Reddit when I stumbled upon this manga and decided to give it a look. Big mistake.

I checked the Shoseki Ranking to see how well the physical copies are selling, and the answer is not well at all. Only volume 1 managed to hit a weekly ranking, which lets us estimate its sales. Released on 2024-10-24, volume 1 sold roughly 1,342 copies in its first week, and that was it. Volume 2, out on 2025-01-23, only showed up in daily rankings on its first two days, but since only weekly rankings allow for sales estimates, it’s impossible to gauge its sales. Volume 3, released 2025-05-29, had the same pattern, just a brief appearance in daily rankings on the first two days.

So yeah, it is a bit of a mystery why this series keeps getting published, at least when looking at physical sales. Maybe digital sales are strong enough to justify it, but if physical sales are that low, why bother printing copies at all? It is puzzling.

There’s now data on the physical sales of Volume 4. Released on 2025-08-28, it mirrored the poor sales pattern of Volumes 2 and 3, appearing in the daily rankings for only the first two days.

Without going into the untranslated chapters (as of now we only have 21 ch in english), the series is pretty bad, there is 0 character devolpment and the story is stagnant and seems to not be able to move forward despite the fact that events keep happening.

Maruo is a pervert who sells pictures of his female classmates to other boys, yet he goes from loving his big brother as if he's God to hating him when he gets convicted as a lolicon, then somehow becomes best friend with a minor who works as a sugar baby and has sex with older men and, to top it off, his idol is a porn actress presumably in her 30s who he hires as a prostitute despite being a minor (and thus turning her into a shotacon herself)....uhm....LOGIC????? HELLO????

Tabe is the cold-psychopath type who also has vulnerable moments which make you hope she is able to change into a normal sweet girl. Unfortunately this will never happen.

Takuto is supposed to be the voice of reason in the manga, and in a way he does act like it, but when you actually finish reading the whole thing and you look back at it, you realize he didn't stop any of the bad things from happening. His cool persona turns out to be absolutely worthless. He might as well not exist, seriously, what purpose does he achieve?

Maruo's parents are non existant. The teachers are non existant. The other classmates' parents are non existant. Even the police which shows up for a couple of episodes is essentially non existant.

This is a poorly written manga that wouldn't have made it past the first volume if the main female characters didn't have big boobs and a fat ass.

This manga is a little world that the author personally designed to edge the readers in the worst way possible. He dangles a bit of hope in our faces every time something is about to happen.
He makes us hold out hope that Maruo is gonna grow some balls, that Tabe is gonna go to the police/a therapist, but right as the opportunity arises, he snatches it right up, and shows us something that is meant to make our hearts shatter for the oh so poor characters.

So yea, it's bad. the worst kind of bad. It's a public announcement by the author that his work is dogshit, that he'll never be able to draw anything meaningful so he's forced to draw psychological torture just to put some bread in his mouth.

This manga is so weird, It's like watching a train wreck, but the conductor and the passengers are all aware of their situation and at the same time are not trying to escape. It reads like instead of dumb kids living their youth, everyone is in a self-destruct path trying to burn out as soon as possible.All of them are written as victims, yet there really is no ill intentioned character and no one seems to have interest in saving themselves.

After seeing that Volume 4 cover I had to look up the raws and some google translate because "what the fuck is going on with that???" and looked over the discussions people were having here from stuff that's not been translated yet, so I have some thoughts

I really dont know what is going on with Tabe, she seems to be fucked up to the point she just wants to destroy everything, picking fights with people showing concern, choking out Maruo when he shows concern for her, killing that cat, ruining the party by tipping over the food ect

I have not read chapter 25 because i cant find it on any raw site but it turning out she does BDSM, drug fuled gangbangs where they beat her was.....surprising, then seeing her alone with the teacher provoking him to beat here even though see does not seem to be actually enjoying the "sex" part, I still have no idea "what" is going on, maybe shes doing all this so she can feel "anything"

THEN setting him up to get caught in the school, it still feels like she just wants to destroy everyone and everything, the ai translations from her and the teacher seems to show her mocking him for the bento his wife made while he's having an affair so he beats her, then goes to destroy his life

Maruo on the other hand seems to actually care about the people around him, going from a sex crazed pervert to going out of his way to save Momona when she jumps of the bridge into the river, actually seems to care about Tabe to the point of going to her family home ect

I'm really interested to see what direction it goes with Tabe and Maruo, hoping for a nice outcome of actually fixing her issues

Its not that deep. She is a psycho + slut (which some "dramatic background" which excuses her behaviour) type or character as you saw them many times in various media, while the MC is well, good? But more of a simp. You know such characters, the MC will never stop helping the main love character even if she cuts his balls off because he is set to by the author to behave such way. The only surprise is that its writen by a man...well sorts of, if you wanna call its a man kek.

Anyway for the more important parts, if you want the raws just google its original name + Raws + chapter and you should see at least 3 main big ones. One lags as fuck which I wouldnt recommand. Currently up to 34/35 and I hope it ends soon.

is the epitome of ~writing~, Ken Sougen's magnum opus. My bad! Everything makes sense now! Her disappearing, turning completely apathetic towards MC and the crew and the reveal of her being a deeply devoted cult member off-screen for 30 chapters rocks now!

I wanted depth to her character that was teased before. Not I am 12 and this is deep type shit. For the 10th time. Get over yourself if me criticizing the author for pumping some nasty nonsense for the sake of and justifying it by acting like there is more to it on repeat hurt your feelings, pussy. I wasn't looking for Kanokari: trauma edition.
Piling on her damsel in distress that needs saving image by desperately making her secret past darker and darker to excuse and explain her character is not enjoyable. "But she is different and there is so much more to her!". ZzZzz.

Her reasoning for choosing to be with and follow that pedo teacher to the ends of the world while completely disconnecting from the main cast is so asinine and low quality, and funnily enough due to the author's own choices and not my self-inserted hatred towards how the manga is panning out.
This is pretty much an alternative universe, a bubble of true evil, that has 75% of all adults be pedo scum and the whole population be addicted to black tar heroin.
I am actively looking for SOMETHING but with the whole population being cartel level dealers and high profile criminals, why him? Because he has been there for a while and that makes it easy to pump all that aforementioned edgy stuff while getting max hurt out of it.
Ch36 was pretty fucking funny tho, ngl. Gonna give you and the author that one.

Feel free to give the author the xth benefit of the doubt and let him add another mental problem to Tabe that will surely be explained and elaborated on soon^tm. You can spend your time applying pseudo philosophy and enjoying the "mystery".
I feel content with pointing out irregularities and stuff being a drag or a let down or whatever.
Just keep your disgusting fragile hubris away while going through the comment section. I don't need you crashing out and whining because you see yourself as some intellectual savior that enjoys manga "the proper way".

Cucks defending cucks is nothing new for me and my brief history with those fuckers on reddit learned me that they will always find a reason to defelct or in this example, try to find a reason when there is none. Some times its just that easy to understand why, what and how things played out/will play out.

1. Author is a porn adict. One which was/is in love with a porn actor:

Obviosuly even the author knows that the weird romance between those two wouldnt work out, so he does what all authors do when the negative (her bad and unreedemable past) outshine the good (her looks) -> he gets her a "dramatic past."

And thats it. Very simple if people know with whom they deal with its kinda easy to expect what might happend. That he pulled the weird drugged sex orgies of the FMC might be just authors Simp/Cuck fetish sipping through, but like with the doushinji he becaome know for, it wasnt a unexpected on but also a not very liked on.

Yet the funny part is that he indirectly put the MC as a spinless simp with zero selfrepsect and a FMC only redditors would catch feelings for. Since its Japan we talking about, im not sure how well it sells over there, as the OG poster mentioned, there are incels over there who are into this shit as also NTR and they gobbles these down like there is no tomorrow.

23 chapters in and there's not much to say: the characters don't act like human beings, the story is very mid and it's nothing but cheap shock value. I'll drop it and I'll forget about it the next day.

Every once in a while I read a manga and the only thing I can think of is that the person who's responsible for this work is very miserable and wants to spread their misery into others. Maybe that's the last stage of a stagnant life where the only thing left is porn addiction and consumerism.

It reminds me of something Miyazaki said:

Reading through the very little english discussion the manga has, it seems I'm spot on. The manga gets even more edgy and the author is in fact a porn addict.
