I was scrolling through Reddit when I stumbled upon this manga and decided to give it a look. Big mistake.

I checked the Shoseki Ranking to see how well the physical copies are selling, and the answer is not well at all. Only volume 1 managed to hit a weekly ranking, which lets us estimate its sales. Released on 2024-10-24, volume 1 sold roughly 1,342 copies in its first week, and that was it. Volume 2, out on 2025-01-23, only showed up in daily rankings on its first two days, but since only weekly rankings allow for sales estimates, it’s impossible to gauge its sales. Volume 3, released 2025-05-29, had the same pattern, just a brief appearance in daily rankings on the first two days.

So yeah, it is a bit of a mystery why this series keeps getting published, at least when looking at physical sales. Maybe digital sales are strong enough to justify it, but if physical sales are that low, why bother printing copies at all? It is puzzling.

There’s now data on the physical sales of Volume 4. Released on 2025-08-28, it mirrored the poor sales pattern of Volumes 2 and 3, appearing in the daily rankings for only the first two days.

Without going into the untranslated chapters (as of now we only have 21 ch in english), the series is pretty bad, there is 0 character devolpment and the story is stagnant and seems to not be able to move forward despite the fact that events keep happening.

Maruo is a pervert who sells pictures of his female classmates to other boys, yet he goes from loving his big brother as if he's God to hating him when he gets convicted as a lolicon, then somehow becomes best friend with a minor who works as a sugar baby and has sex with older men and, to top it off, his idol is a porn actress presumably in her 30s who he hires as a prostitute despite being a minor (and thus turning her into a shotacon herself)....uhm....LOGIC????? HELLO????

Tabe is the cold-psychopath type who also has vulnerable moments which make you hope she is able to change into a normal sweet girl. Unfortunately this will never happen.

Takuto is supposed to be the voice of reason in the manga, and in a way he does act like it, but when you actually finish reading the whole thing and you look back at it, you realize he didn't stop any of the bad things from happening. His cool persona turns out to be absolutely worthless. He might as well not exist, seriously, what purpose does he achieve?

Maruo's parents are non existant. The teachers are non existant. The other classmates' parents are non existant. Even the police which shows up for a couple of episodes is essentially non existant.

This is a poorly written manga that wouldn't have made it past the first volume if the main female characters didn't have big boobs and a fat ass.

This manga is a little world that the author personally designed to edge the readers in the worst way possible. He dangles a bit of hope in our faces every time something is about to happen.
He makes us hold out hope that Maruo is gonna grow some balls, that Tabe is gonna go to the police/a therapist, but right as the opportunity arises, he snatches it right up, and shows us something that is meant to make our hearts shatter for the oh so poor characters.

So yea, it's bad. the worst kind of bad. It's a public announcement by the author that his work is dogshit, that he'll never be able to draw anything meaningful so he's forced to draw psychological torture just to put some bread in his mouth.

This manga is so weird, It's like watching a train wreck, but the conductor and the passengers are all aware of their situation and at the same time are not trying to escape. It reads like instead of dumb kids living their youth, everyone is in a self-destruct path trying to burn out as soon as possible.All of them are written as victims, yet there really is no ill intentioned character and no one seems to have interest in saving themselves.

I really dont know what is going on with Tabe, she seems to be fucked up to the point she just wants to destroy everything, picking fights with people showing concern, choking out Maruo when he shows concern for her, killing that cat, ruining the party by tipping over the food ect

I have not read chapter 25 because i cant find it on any raw site but it turning out she does BDSM, drug fuled gangbangs where they beat her was.....surprising, then seeing her alone with the teacher provoking him to beat here even though see does not seem to be actually enjoying the "sex" part, I still have no idea "what" is going on, maybe shes doing all this so she can feel "anything"

THEN setting him up to get caught in the school, it still feels like she just wants to destroy everyone and everything, the ai translations from her and the teacher seems to show her mocking him for the bento his wife made while he's having an affair so he beats her, then goes to destroy his life

Maruo on the other hand seems to actually care about the people around him, going from a sex crazed pervert to going out of his way to save Momona when she jumps of the bridge into the river, actually seems to care about Tabe to the point of going to her family home ect

I'm really interested to see what direction it goes with Tabe and Maruo, hoping for a nice outcome of actually fixing her issues

Its not that deep. She is a psycho + slut (which some "dramatic background" which excuses her behaviour) type or character as you saw them many times in various media, while the MC is well, good? But more of a simp. You know such characters, the MC will never stop helping the main love character even if she cuts his balls off because he is set to by the author to behave such way. The only surprise is that its writen by a man...well sorts of, if you wanna call its a man kek.

Anyway for the more important parts, if you want the raws just google its original name + Raws + chapter and you should see at least 3 main big ones. One lags as fuck which I wouldnt recommand. Currently up to 34/35 and I hope it ends soon.

I'm not going to try to slut shame Tabe, but she is fucked up mentally. You saw it in chapter 21. She enjoyed tossing Maruo's sushi. She is going to lead him on for the whole series, constantly getting worse and worse in her treatment, but always with some glimmer of hope that she isn't a piece of shit. Things like showing specificly the scenes of her being with other men, orgies and how much she enjoys it etc, as normaly you could just mentioned IF it was just for plot and drama and NOT for fetish -> which is my argument here since its being showed specifically that way. That’s not something most readers want to see when a story is supposedly building toward romance (or whatever this is meant here in this dumpster fire to be). Its normal that authors tries to excuse it by saying they aren’t in a relationship, but that doesn’t change the fact that these things still happened. It’s not rocket science.

Example:
You have a story that’s either fully focused on romance or has romance as a major element, with 100 chapters total. In 99 of those chapters the heroine is sleeping with other guys while the MC just stands by and accepts it. No anger, no sense of betrayal, not even jealousy because he’s too focused on “fixing” her problems. Basically, he’s written as a simp. Technically, does this count as NTR? No. By definition, it doesn’t, since they aren’t in a relationship and he does not have those feelings for her yet.

But if you showed this exact story to two groups: people who don’t like NTR and people who do -> who do you think would hate it and who would enjoy it? And more importantly, why? ... Again, it’s not rocket science.
