I dont think thats what the author is going for with the series. The mc has already shown a willingness to save others regardless of personal gain. I dont think its gonna end up as you put it "used goods" situation. I think the mc is just trying to be the hero that he idolised his brother as being before he got exposed and arrested for being a nonce. It seems that after his brother got caught he also wants to leave his picture taking behind.

The scans ive seen for the bondage drug scene are a bit hard to intepret, im not sure if she actually had sex with those men or if it was just a Dom sub thing with toys and mdma. I still think you might wanna stick around a bit longer to see if the author knows what hes doing or if it will just turn into a cuck mc accepting whatever the fmc does cause hes a loser.

I feel like ive read stories which start off with promising concepts then do just go down the path of degenaracy with no real commentary on said matters. I do agree with what your saying about takutos take on tabe but where do u think the story goes from here in that case? And i just want to ask where did u see that it was confirmed that Tabe had sex with them? Im just in a server that does amateur translations and theres nothing that 100 percent confirms it, its common for people using sex toys in groups to use condoms for health and safety reasons it makes sense considering that its a group setting.

I only read one other work by Ken Sogen and it went the exact same way- the overall setting + one big event to showcase a grand message picking up on grand societal problems into full sex + fetish.
This is a serialized longer running series so it kinda doesn't work and ends up feeling worse overall, being stretched and edited.

I've been keeping up with it on and off, and I have to add that you'd have to be insane to not think she's having sex with the teacher. I've seen some of the streams from ken sogen and saw his interviews and the guy is just cooked. I'm of the mindset that I believe these plot points could be interesting, but the execution is terrible.

I saw the authors stream and saw that in the latest chapter MC catches the teacher hugging up on Tabe and lashes out.

Regardless of this whole thing pans out, it doesn't seem like it's going to be that rewarding in the end. The problem with authors like Ken Sogen is they care more about themes than characters, which ends up with the characters being pretty shit. Also, he writes like a fetishist with no real world experience or emotional intelligence. The plotlines he writes seem to just be hardcore for no reason. From Kasumi being a sugar baby to pedos, to the weird AV lady, and now this BDSM nonsense. It just seems like he's doing this to shock readers into staying tuned(which is working). Maybe it's the placement of this arc, but it just doesn't seem to sell me on the idea that Tabe is even worth caring about. I get if he placed this in the beginning of the manga it would turn people away, but it would at least serve to give contrast to her dynamic with MC, but now it comes off kind of odd. I'm not trying to say what the author should do(I kind of am), but showing what he has now, doesn't even recontextualize anything. It just makes me scratch my head. I get we will see more about her and maybe learn more, but I ain't holding my breath.

I read his other works and they kind of all fall flat as well. He has good ideas but they all seem to fall flat. Better than Sex was a eromanga that had no business having a plot. Idk if it's his editor or the guy has a brain worm, but he really needs to just take a different approach with these stories. I saw an interview where he said he had to fight his editor to get the scene where MC and Tabe held hands in. If that gives you any hints as to what kind of editor he has.
I don't know what I was expecting, but it wasn't this.

Where was it confirmed that she was a prostitute? I don't remember and I can't go back to previous chapters on the site without paying or waiting for the new volume raws.

I just read the latest and it seems to be going in a bit of a different direction than I thought. I do think it's still going to be a bit "I will be by your side" but it seems like Maruo is affecting Tabe(to what degree I have no clue. Both the teacher and Tabe both seem to have an interest in Maruo. Although Tabe doesn't say it outright, the teacher notices Tabe requiring more drugs and acting differently. He brings up Maruo and she seems to make a sour face before taunting him so that he'll beat her so she can get off.
My guess is that her time with Maruo has changed her somewhat. I am not saying she isn't cooked, but I think Maruo being nice to her has challenged her worldview. From the limited things we've seen about Tabe, she seems to want to expose people's true colors which are usually not too pretty. For example, when Kasumi showed concern for her in the past, she bit her which led Kasumi to start bullying her. But we see Tabe never has an issue with this because she Kasumi is "showing her true self". We also see how she attempts to do the same thing to Maruo when he shows concern over her black eye and chokes him out. Unlike Kasumi, Maruo doesn't start hating her and instead goes back to hanging out with her, treating her no differently. That's why Tabe starts going out of her way to sabotage Maruos plan to become popular by framing Kasumi for stealing, destroying the party he tried to throw, and now getting him suspended(these were from the stream so it's like 99% confirmed) by setting it up so that he fights the teacher after catching her making out with him. What I'm predicting we'll see is that Maruos spirit won't get broken by this and he'll keep reaching out to her which I assume will spark a change in her. I don't know what exactly that change will be, but I think we already already getting hints that's happening.

As for her backstory, we've seen her family who seem to be a bit cooked and that she lives in a separate house from the rest of them. We also saw that she has a gun, which still hasn't been expanded on(I thought she would've been some sort of hitman in the beginning). My hard read(stay with me now) is that she corrupted the teacher and not the other way around. I am not saying he isn't a shit person, but my guess as to what his backstory is, is that he probably met Tabe at one of these back-alley sex romps, tried talking to/helping her and Tabe being Tabe got him to have sex with her that became more and more extreme. That fits way more in line with her character than being blackmailed. The panel where the teacher tells her "you know what that means" when she threatens to call the police, came off to me as more of a reminder to Tabe that if she tells the police she won't have access to MDMA or the only activity that makes her feel anything. I think this is doubly confirmed by the fact that in the latest published chapter she couldn't get off without MDMA as we see her upping her dose and having to get absolutely beaten the shit out of to even climax. My other reason for believing that she corrupted the teacher is that when he brings up Maruo to her and she visibly grimaces he warns her to stay away from him and that people like her shouldn't get involved with people like him(something to that effect). We also see in previous chapters that the teacher does look out for his students, like when he settles the issue between Kasumi and Maruo. Granted that could've just been him doing his duties as a teacher, but I don't think he comes off as a truly evil person. I would go so far as to say that he could be the one getting blackmailed. Tabe even tells him that he's scared of her.

I realize now how much I typed. I just thought this new development was interesting and would like to hear your guys' thoughts.

Looks like FMC pissed herself in the classroom due to taking too much MDMA with the teacher the prior day. MC helps and brings her to the nurse office, afterwards he realized he had a bit of her pee on his hand, he almost licked his hand afterwards but slaps himself and washes it off in the bathroom lol.(Character growth!). He goes back to the classroom, idk what the classmates are talking about. The homeroom teacher is with FMC now, looks like she's horny and wants to fuck. The teacher is about to lick her eye??(the exact one she told mc to lick before lol) and chapter ends as MC walks in on them with what looks like a bag of snacks. From the sneak peeks the author showed in his streams next chapter should be a fight with him and the teacher lol.
