Ok?? What a bizarre and convoluted way to set the supernatural in this world. They're just girls that can alter reality for shits and giggles?

This whole looping power thing is crazy, himawari is so confused, it's obvious she loves Tsubaki but she kept transmitting that to Ota, and then doing another loop, go figure, she's so indecisive. Anyway, Kaede is the best girl, a queen ❤️🥰

Thank you for debunking my theory, which already had some holes, author.

Anyway, this is getting more and more confusing.

And who gave her that power? Originally she in love with MC or the blonde?

So why is Himwari making him loop if she clearly liked the other guy all this time?
Same question. My guess is that she likes both while being dishonest with herself and is causing the loop to get the best outcome. Whatever it is, I don't see it as a good enough reason to cause the loop, even if she was doing it unconsciously.

Okay let's help out Himawari, and the you can stick with Kaede and marry her after you're an adult and make a family.

Ok MC? 👀

I agree on one hand but on the other I think it would be unsatisfying and feel forced if his feelings towards Himawari remain. Characters like her end up becoming a femme fatale to guys like Tsubaki and might have an effect on his future relationships. A clean breakup where Tsubaki completely loses interest (romantically) in Himawari would probably be a safe way to make him switch over to Kaede. Unfortunately I don't think the story is gonna head towards that direction.

I don't know what Outa's business is, but he needs to speak out his mind too not just be a listener to Tsubaki. Tsubaki's done his part in communicating, yet he gets forced into the mess and even gets robbed of the freedom to move on. Poor dude.

"dont do the crazy", nah, she looks the right amount of crazy "in a good way" to hot ratio, she does not need fixing.

Okay, so if I consider this the original timeline—since this is where Kaede's memories converge—we can consider the events here to be the original, Loop Zero so to speak. In other words, what happened in the beginning of the series was after an alteration had occurred, a distinct Loop One.

  • Everything is congruent in Loop Zero until the 4th Grade Incident
  • Because of or around the Incident, Himawari got hospitalized for the long-term
  • Himawari's powers kicked in, allowing her to manipulate the universe with specific targeting
  • Kaede got a splash and gained the power to create doubles and customize their settings
  • Using this power, Kaede—feeling bad about Himawari never getting to enjoy her youth—created a Himawari clone
  • The clone is the one that lives with Ota and Tsurugi the whole time in Loop One
  • Kaede also created a high-schooler clone to keep an eye on Himawari
  • By high school, Ota gained the power to loop only when an outcome of something dissatisfied the original Himawari
  • Each Kaede clone retains only memories of their loops, so they were incongruent regardless of loop time
  • Only original Kaede retains all the clones' memories regardless of loop, meaning that Himawari should also retain her clone's memories

Did I get this right?

It still doesn't answer the fundamental question of how Himawari became Suzumiya Haruhi of course, or the plot-relevant questions like what the 4th Grade Incident was or what Himawari really wanted from Ota, but it also still leaves us with a lot of plotholes to fill. Why Kaede of all people? Why clone-making? When did Himaclone start taking over in Loop One and why did nobody remember? At what point did Loop Zero diverge from Loop One, since Ota and Tsurugi all had consistent memories of Himawari being with them all the way to high school?

Are the clones' memories transmitted live to their originals? Or is it a once a day thing? Is that why Himawari's powers kept kicking in only after nightfall? Is Himawari even conscious? How many Kaeclones are there? Can they only create one clone at a time? Does this mean a threesome is the possible maximum?

I'm all for the increasing supernatural element, but this doesn't seem like the type of story that wraps neatly in just a few more chapters. I sure hope it doesn't get axed.

I sure hope I didn't just jinx it.

Thanks for the chapter.

Soo, let me try to get this straight:

-Something happened to Himawari in 4th grade which resulted in her being hospitalised

-Kaede, at that time already working as a nurse, felt sorry for her and created a doppelgänger of Himawarai and herself who then went on to have a blissful youth as if nothing had happened

-It turns out though that Himawari has a looping ability, and then she started to rewind time for Tsu-kun for some reason

-somehow after all the loops we got to a point where this 4th grade incident gets brought up, which causes Himawari to have a mental breakdown and ends up warping the reality in a way as if the doppelgängers had never existed

Am I getting this at least somewhat right????!!!
Ah, my head hurts

so she's the one hospitalized huh.
He's looping because of her powers, but did her powers come to be due to best girl (Kaede) making the doppleganger sync with her? Or Is Kaede also HWs creation? Or do both have separate powers?
