It would be one thing if the readers knew that the author was a convicted sex offender and chose to give him another chance, but instead he lied to people about his identity in order to get published.

While it's true that everyone's free to feel this way and drop it/stop supporting it, and I think they should if knowing who the writer is, makes them uncomfortable, BUT anyone who wants this publication canceled is an idiot to say the least.

Indeed, it turns out that I was wrong about the artist being unaware of the writer's identity - that only applies to the other convicted sex offender who was exposed earlier.

That said, Tatsuya Matsuki stated in a public announcement that he deliberately published under a pseudonym in order to "avoid hurting his victims' feelings", which means that yes, he deliberately concealed his identity and lied to readers because he knew it would be bad publicity.

Anyway, Manga Up already lost five serials from this because multiple authors are uncomfortable about being published in the same magazine with a convicted pedophile, so the chance of this surviving the axe are low.
