drake's negotiation methods are a bit rough, but effective. damn jessica is coming around but stupid queens crap and the retainer are ruining it. drakes certainly much smarter/cleverer than you'd think at his intro.
hmm i guess the execution was a misdirect feels more like a copout though lol. while that'd be less reason to fight the empire and he doesnt want to fight his brother imprisoning his family and attacking his people still are some pretty solid reasons.
and now we have more precedence to my theory ruri is the demon lord xD. jessica hid her real job somehow so that'd mean its likely other classes could too. i do hope that she changes sides forreal though. not only is she talented but noa, ruri, bow, and others would be sad to have her end up an enemy.

feels like she is just being controlled, and until she realize what she want they could become hostile. Best case scenario is neutral if she just come clean with all of this and severe their connection to the queen. Whatever the maid there is seems like a way to monitor jessica so the queen can take action if she doesn't behave. The agreement only mention jessica iirc and that maid just join in like anything's normal.
