For the fairness sake, it's not the same thing. If it would be "possible to outrun" them, running away would just instantly "ends the battle".
You just can't run away from them as a solution, but it doesn't mean that you should just sit still and let them completely surround and overwhelm you.

Yeah, the previous chapter implied they would be quadrupedal since they just drew pictures of lions. Little bit if a fakeout.

Either author cant math or theres an extra 0 somewhere it shouldnt have been. If hes 40 meters away and the lioness gets to him in half a second it should have a velocity of 80 m/sec or 288 km/h. Either its 4 meters or a max speed of 300km/h.

And then they get surrounded immediately even with all the information. Lugh and the maid are one thing but I wonder how the other 2 are gonna fare.
