There is a concept in a few other mangas, where the whole thing is a cycle.Maybe the Demon King was the last Hero?
isn't that, mc thinking that the religious leader there, is like the religious leaders of our world?Is the MC plainly stupid?
He just announced that he received a direct oracle from the Goddess , and he doesn't expect important religious figures to take an interest in him?
50000 people seems too few to make a fruit that resurrects a demon king.
That would possibly be even worse.isn't that, mc thinking that the religious leader there, is like the religious leaders of our world?
Considering she's just going to annihilate the planet if Lugh fails it's more of a promise than a vibe.The Goddess gives me that "Knife pressed up against your throat." vibe with that smile.
On the other hand, if she's NOT lying about what she is, she does have a vested interest in stopping the Demon Lord, and would at least make sure the information on how to stop him was real.So all the demons are trying to revive their lord but snake lady seems to be working towards her own goal. My guess is that she’s either trying to revive the demon lord herself (and take all the credit) or this entire story is a sack of bull and the actual method to revive the demon lord is to kill all the demons. Wouldn’t put it past the goddess to spread some misinformation
It feels more like these Demons are the only ones present. There are 8 Demons working to revive 1 Demon Lord. There might be other sentient monsters, but they all work for these 8 Demons, and are not themselves demons.Otherwise, if sacrificing a lot of people is enough to create this fruit and revive the Demon Lord, why track these specific demons who could be just a few out of many entities who can make these sacrifices? Or are they simply the only ones who can turn these sacrifices into the fruit? Or the only ones who can use the fruit at the end?
So many important details have been left out... and it's definitely suspicious.
I’m calling it now: the goddess IS the demon lord, or at least is closely related in some way. That’s why the statues are in the room for the goddess, that’s why she’s directing everything, that’s why she’s insistent on killing off The Hero. I think something with Epona is able to harm/kill her.I agree that something is fishy. These statues are too convenient.
It's like the demons are actually tools of the Goddess. Like, say, seals on the Demon King, who will then be revived once the seals (demons) are lifted (killed).

My bet is on the goddess being some kind of security system for some thing else. After Lugh left, she stopped acting as if she had emotions and was more like an automata than a living being.Piggybacking off of that idea;
I mean… maybe the goddess is actually a demon lord who can isekai people and who created this religion to set themselves up as a goddess for their resurrection
Now I believe the Venus/Capitol Cult Demon Lord theory. I bet hunting them all returns their souls to their statues in the demon lord shrine that is conveniently in the Capitol guarded in secret.Can't say I trust that system in the least - they can literally track the demons' state, and the statues light up when they die; that's literally screaming that they're being energized!
Thanks for the translations, as always!
Might just be an entire setup, honestly. It could all be a lie to bring the world down; imagine if, after all demons have been returned to energized statues, the Hero becomes the last key needed to bring about a larger calamity.Now I believe the Venus/Capitol Cult Demon Lord theory. What I don't get is how Lugh is supposed to kill Epona after she kills the Demon Lord to prevent her from killing Venus if she is the Demon Lord, unless she somehow has a false Demon Lord lined up to take the fall.
Rereading some of the early chapters gave me the impression she was like a lazy brat playing with a toy, but now Lugh's definitely playing a dangerous game...The Goddess gives me that "Knife pressed up against your throat." vibe with that smile.
