The typical human lifespan was 30-40 years old if they were lucky (due to war or disease) so that age categorization was appropriate. Boys had to get ready to take on the position of man of the house if their father was reaching his predicted life spans end, and girls had to get ready for marriage and making kids.
Developed science past the medieval era helps us understand exact brain development which is why we can better classify age groups.
Age classification is a nuanced thing anyways. Throughout many countries people can drink at 16.... but in America you can’t drink until you’re 21 even though you’re given the power to vote at 18. It’s rather silly.

Can't say I liked how the author handled the MC's morning wood. Did the author forget the MC was an old man in his previous life? You'd think he'd be mature enough to simply laugh it off. Of course I'm not really surprised, it's pretty typical for authors to give a badass adult background to a character and immediately forget about it.

@phil777 well, this dude is a little different. He's a bonafide veteran assassin and has a mission given to him by the goddess. He'll play his part well and I'm sure he doesn't care for these nuances. He's already an adult mentally anyways (in fact he was old af while most isekai MCs are young before reincarnating) and is mostly just focused on completing this mission.
@sircusa I think he reacted like that mostly because, as he said, he let his guard down and did not expect it since it's something he, as an old man mentally, has long forgotten about being an 'issue'. His mind was like "I gotta watch out for these kids" but his body had plans he had no control over. So it fits fine imo. He's still a young boy in prime puberty age physically so his biological hormones are going to be out of his control regardless of what mental age he is at.

would be interesting if he has to go against his father for real this time. Would be sad though, i like his dad a lot. Hopefully they just peacefully cancel the request and maybe go against the whole kingdom because of it

Been a few chapters since MC was home. Is the mother an assassin too or just ignorant and air headed? Curious to see how MC will handle request considering it's to murder his magic teacher and fellow conspirator. Wonder if this is a test to see if MC will take on any mission, even if it's a former master, friend, acquaintance or protest. Considering how father reminded him that while they are assassins they are also human during first few chapters I wonder what the father plans on doing with the request. If remember correctly they only get requests from royal family and dukes so is this an order absolutely have to follow, and are reasons given or is it just an order to kill x without explanation? Frankly considering Ria's personality it's likely some corrupt duke giving order to cover up something the Count found out, believes Count is in way of making a profit, jealousy, fear of Count rising in power, favor for somebody else, or some other corrupt and selfish reason that's only good for them and really at kingdom's expense. Guess will just have to see how things pan out next chapter. Hope eliminate corrupt noble who gave orders rather than go after Count and Ria. After all, how could killing a teenage girl be beneficial for the kingdom, especially considering her talent in magic?

I guess this story will reveal that the kingdom itself is already corrupt and so do the heroes too. But doing that vigilante, will make Lugh and his harem also family as evil.

Vicone castle can hold longer thanks to Dia's sniping, but she also already exhausted. By sacrificing all Dia's people and family, she fake her death by burning a fake corpse but Lugh only put Dia's ring as proof and ignore teeth modification because that world is not that advanced to do a forensic check. And everyone will only think that Dia is killed by suicide because she will gonna lose.
Dia is said must be saved because she is a hope for Vicone to make a successor of strongest mage, and he is actually a distance relative to Lugh.
But that mission is not an easy swift sailing. A musclehead hero with red hair will come with Sacred Spear (or Javelin ?) that can be thrown like a missile. It's like an Assassin vs Berserker (literally with that setting). Btw, the name of that weapon is Gae Bolg. So..... it's Berserker that use Gae Bolg after killing Lancer ? (KONO HITODENASHI)
In order too "defeat" him, Lugh have to create a weapon like in COD Ghosts' Rods named Gungnir since he is Berserker. Wait..... that attack is like Gilgamesh Proto's Noble Phantasm then ? So it is Assassin with Archer's NP vs Berserker with Lancer's NP then ?
In the end, Dia is "dead" and changing her name and Lugh get Harem +1, so..... everything is going okay atm.
