Yeah, I can't say she's evil, but she's without a doubt ruthless, maybe there's another way instead of killing the Hero, but chances are too low and she didn't even considered it? The number he gives is about equivalent to a ton of TNT. That's a big boom, but to be as strong as a very old nuke, it would need to be more than 15,000x times that.

Calculating force from mass involves variables the reader can't access.

I calculated from scratch, the calculations in the manga largely checks out( other than kinetic energy) :
the spear launches with an accelaration( not velocity!) of around 20 m/s² for 3 mins(180 secs) .
it will reach a velocity of 3600 m/s ( v = v₀ + a. t (v₀ = 0))
by this time it will travel 324000 m ( 324km) ( x₁ = v₀. t + 1/2. a . t²)

But there is more, it will travel until gravity slows it down to velocity of 0 m/s (v_f = 0 )
V_f² = v² - 2. g. x₂
0 = 3600² - 20 x₂
x₂ = 648000 m (648 km)
so x(total height) = x₁ + x₂ = 972000 m ( 972 km)

From there on it is a free fall (we will neglect terminal velocity as we don't know the drag coeff)
x = 972000m , g = 10m/s² , Vo = 0 m/s
V² = Vo² + 2. g. x
V²= 0+ 20 . (972 000) = 19440000 m/s
V = 4410 m/s
KE(kinetic enegy) = 1/2 m V²
= 1/2 100 19440000 = 972 000 000 joules
from wikipedia 1 g of TNT releases 4184 j
So : 972 000 000/4184 = 232313 g of TNT = 232 kg of TNT
