Unfortunately, you wont even see it as for the light novel. Its kinda tricky since Toowa is more focused on the fights and plot progression. I mean, more on the Labyrinth Country they've reincarnated in and the mystery about it (like the Hidden Gods). There's occasional comedy and like what you said about " walking in the middle of the night" scenes but romance development is kinda so-so. There's also a scene on Suzuna and Kyouka respectively as i remember but not that kinda development that you could call but more of a step forward i guess.
Just remember always the goal of Arihito:
1. Going to the 4th District to make Theresia human again
2. Rescue Elitia's best friend on the Simian Lord in the 5th District labyrinth.

Overall, its not a romance focused story as you see it.
Once the current fight ends maybe rikizo will change most of the scenes that happened in the novel (it already is on the current chapter with minor changes). there would be another 2 arcs that would happen after the fight as per volume 2 of the LN where it is adapted and maybe would continue to volume 7

As a harem enjoyer, I hope that in the future the original author give some focus on the romance moments between MC and the girls, because this lack of romance moments makes me fear that the harem tag might be a bait for the original author to sell his story and in the end MC will only end up with the Ex-Boss Girl (since she's the one who is always close to him wherever he goes and the one he interact the most).

On that "walking at the night scenes" they cant really admit to him straight what they always do to him solely its because its awkward and maybe they fear it will strain their relationship forever and they dont want that to happen. There's also a one time scene in LN that Misaki almost spilled the beans to Arihito jokingly and the others just stopped her. But Arihito already suspects that they're doing something to him and thought of finding a record stone to find it out.

Toowa also revealed in an extra story in LN that the recovery support skill (when party members at front auto heal while he is at the back of them) has a hidden meaning behind. That's why those girls cant sleep well at night and always touch him. They are affected by a skill that boost trust levels and Arihito cant see it at the next day in his seeker card since the day always resets at midnight. In short, all the actions that the seeker card gets reset.

I'm glad the author at least take a little time to slowly develop the harem aspect, because this manga is one of my top favorite isekai harem and I read a lot of those.

I love the whole concept, the worldbuilding, the battles, the attention to details of each character, the side characters with importance and personality, the girls and how each of them are useful to the party and the MC since he's a decent and functioning guy who has a very strong ability, but also has his shortcomings instead of the usual loner-neet-edgy-teenager that gets god mode right from the start.

I love the whole concept, the worldbuilding, the battles, the attention to details of each character, the side characters with importance and personality, the girls and how each of them are useful to the party and the MC since he's a decent and functioning guy who has a very strong ability, but also has his shortcomings instead of the usual loner-neet-edgy-teenager that gets god mode right from the start.

The manga only excluded the consultation about their skills (like on chapter 25) and their equipment. Since those events is really important at least on LN. So i expect readers would be surprised if they have new skills to use during battle.

What MC needs is a debuffing skills/passive/buffs that he can apply to all party members, or else, his title of being the strongest rearguard is just a false one.
Also, where are his healing skills? lol rearguard without healing skills is useless in my book

somehow him being able to save everyone he's tried to so far makes me more worried that his luck could run out. with them making polaris out to be a pretty decent party in both skill and likability makes it even more so. i hope this isnt how they get him their first guy new party member : (.
