It only makes for a decent grill for this occasion. It's not only a celebration of lava's and the dragon's defeat, but also punishment for lava as they were being rather dickish.

However I think cloning a sentient being and using those clones as appliances would only form a grudge that would lead to more trouble down the road. Also think the constant whining would get really annoying.

Grilling on Lava is a thing. I've seen it done during Iron Pours, grilling on top of furnace slag- molten silica from impurities in the iron and coke. Not sure if people do it on actual vocanic lava, but it seems just as possible. Cooking on a 2600deg F surface is fast!
