1. He might not KNOW Art is nobility yet, since it seems the ceremony hasnt been conducted yet, so word might not have gotten out that he's earned a title.Isn't that a little too late?
How can he get his hands on Art, he is no longer a simple butler, but Nobility as well.
Not to mention someone who can cut a cataclysmic monster in two with one move. Not an ideal target for kidnapping...Isn't that a little too late?

I will never get over their names.Urk! I mean. I'm doing just fine! Urgh.

Pretty much ^this. I lean more toward number 2. We've read titles with tons of incompetent nobles before, so it should be no surprise that there have been some in this Kingdom's history as well. Heck, Wenty's father. That merchant is probably thinking he's a naive, gullible, nobody at the bottom of the food chain, so he'll be easy to trick and swindle.1. 2. When Art becomes a noble, he will basically still be a nobody. Sure he saved the country, but without proving himself to other nobles it'll be easy to blackmail him or coerce him into working for some shady merchant. At least, that's what he might think
Well the point is not the merchant's point of view, but us the reader's, it's very hard to take the merchant as a threat, even if we supposed he can some how overrule the MC's nobility status, there is still the "small" issue of the MC being overwhelmingly stronger even than Marcos who was regarded as one of the strongest (if not THE strongest) warrior in the kingdom.Pretty much ^this.
