Complaining about the same "joke" is fine, although its more of a formula, I dont at all think its suppose to be comedic, but wanting "progress" when in 5 chapters he's managed to ask her out, walk to school with her, and now ask her to a date?

The amount of romance manga you read must be very low if 5 chapters of a formula and this much progress is still not enough for you as most are far more formulaic and slow paced. Which is why I dont think it having a formula is your problem, you're just not a fan of the formula (fair)
