Ignore the other guy, if you google the series you can see that there's still WN chapters being uploaded, just at a low rate of about 1/month.

I didn't get too far in MTLs of the series, I stopped when narou got rid of their mobile version of the site and I couldn't google translate whole pages anymore. But I can tell you some of what happens next.

Many, many spoilers in no particular order.
He drops out of pilot academy since he starts getting discriminated against for his method of combat being "too cowardly". He focuses on range combat and avoids melee, because of the physical feedback effect that you see in this chapter. He's still friends with that mecha pilot (Conil) from the earlier chapters. Together they visit a lot of brothels together. (Including the one that female students work at parttime.) Tauro pilots the merchant guild mecha instead, which has separate armor plating over a frame (old style) and so they're less feedback from damage. I think it also has higher max tolerances for magic power, same with the accompanying beam rifle. He's basically an overpowered sniper. I'm not sure I ever read past him infusing the rifle with C grade equivalent magic power. I assume S or A would be enough to destroy a city, if the rifle could tolerate that much power.

His banning on some of the high class brothel eventually gets lifted. His world tree starts usurping control from the Elves' world tree, I think in part thanks to Imosuke. Tauro himself is pretty much clueless about how much he's fucking over the elves, but they certainly deserve it. The prostitute student scholar from early in the series works on potion development with that other potion creating noble from the early chapter, using a key fruit component in Elixirs that Tauro gives away to her.

He goes with the Merchant Guild top brass on a trip and observes the sex championship competition, I think he might have participated too? He heals one guy from a minor country who injured his back using some triple thrust technique. I think that guy won the competition? That guy starts piloting his small country's low grade mecha, before Tauro helps them out (on business) and capture a better mecha, and that guys moves with his wife and family into Tauro's apartment building. Tauro also gives them some of that elixir fruit. That elixir fruit also attracts a massive island sized turtle from a lake next to the world tree in the Elven country. It moves into Tauro's garden and he makes a small pond for it to live in. The elves are understandably confused about how a huge ancient turtle just disappeared.

@Austriacus Generally I agree, but... maybe there's no actual conscription or anything, necessarily? Then again he specifically enrolled on recommendation, so who knows if he could back out when it gets real or not. Possibly he can just do all this schooling then back out from the actual job.

Actual job really does just sound shit like why would you want to go into actual combat when you can avoid it, for sure. If he can avoid that it does seem fun though.

I still don't get what's going on with the bugs.
They are supposed to be magical creatures that can even be a casus belli, but the elves knowing this, treat them with disregard and devote themselves to bothering these spirits?

Is the rock simply for scratching its back or will it used to write sacred words? I think in the LN when he went to the library in the first chapters, mentioned something about that.

@vick_detri:
The problems you have with the understanding is due to many things being cut and compressed in the manga version in comparison to the novel version.
For example in the last translated chapters of the novel version Tauro has also just recently gotten Dangorou as a new familiar spirit but there has not been any notice of the "knights" at all so far.

So let me sum up the important bits that are missing in the manga in regards to Imosuke and Dangorou:
1. For Imosuke:
Imosuke's species eats ONLY leaves with magical power in it.
Therefore the elves came up with the d*mb idea that Imosuke's species is a threat to the world tree as they thought that Imosuke's species might harm the world tree by eating all its leaves.
As result the elves started hunting and exterminating Imosuke's kind.
The elves were too d*mb to notice that Imosuke's kind actually consumes the leaves and then creates new plants in the forest by their poop magically "transforming" into plants that the forest needs.

2. For Dangorou:
The reason why the elves target Dangorou's species is not really mentioned.
They probably also judged its species to be a danger to the world tree for some st*pid reason.
As for the stones, Dangorou asked for, it is mentioned in the novel that pill bugs seem to prefer living / hiding under stones.
Tauro remembers how there were pretty much a bunch of pill bugs whenever you overturned a big stone in a forest or other natural habitats in Japan.
In the novel Tauro does not know which size of a stone Dangorou needs, so he simply buys two buckets (or so) full of different sized stones unlike here in the manga where he simply brings 1 huge stone back.

@Talh Thanks for the answer
I will have to read the LN again, I read these stories diagonally just before going to sleep so I don't get many details.

aaaand dropped. Yah sure its just another "op protagonist, who doesnt have to do anything to succeed, being jerked off" power fantasy but this sort of cliches where they either ram in foodporn to a level where 5 panels are used to tell you molecular structure of a damn pixelated soup, gundam offshoots or some asenine logic how they gain a voluntary harem of -stupid as a bucket- suicidal zealots in a world where baseline logic seems to be "groundbreakingly brilliant"..
at least it was fun for a good while.. even if it stumbles into the usual trash heap where cliche copy pasters end up.

@VF89

If it was real battle, they would be inside the mechas probably, and he therefore wouldn't be able to see it, unless he had already damaged their cockpit.

Who the hell's idea was it to design female military cadet uniforms with skirts so short they can't sit down without showing their underwear? 😂

Where was the combat training with the elf? Didn't remember it when it was mentioned.
