History has shown that anything close to democracy is generally a recipe for disaster when ruling newly conquered territories. As an invader, teaching the masses how to manage themselves and showing them they don't need the ruling class is a really bad idea

I have to say... that coral helmet is pretty dope.

Things are tightening up around Shizuko... Akechi is already giving a few tries at whatever scheme he has against her.

This chapter pretty much encapsulates what he may have against her... he sees her as a competitor.

If the other idiots start to see as he sees her... this will get complicated.

I just finished binge-reading Nobunaga no Chef (I’d recommend it) the other day, and it’s so nice to see this get updated today.

Knowing next to nothing about the Sengoku warring era, nor having enough interest to do any real historical research, that manga kinda gave me context on Shizuko’s story.

I think Akechi is getting some dangerous political advice from his brother too. I always saw the brother being way more hostile towards her, but also avoiding interacting directly with her.

History has also shown that every society needs a ruling class, even so-called classless societies. The masses would overthrow their rulers only to elect new rulers to be ruled by.
