They didn't follow the order to expect a retreat and fell for the fake battle cry of the fortress. Only 1 of his 5 generals pursued the enemy sneaking away.

Thanks to the enemy's rearguard putting up a stubborn resistance, the Asakura succeeded in escaping by the time the other 4 generals caught up.

Had Nobunaga more generals in the chase, that rearguard would have been crushed and Yoshikage would have been caught.

Nene is his wife. I think you might have mistaken her for Chacha, who is Oichi's daughter and later Hideyoshi's concubine.

Yup, if i remember correctly one of Hideyoshi's biggest issues was about his heir/children. Nene was unable to provide him one so he turned to concubines and was so stressed out about it until Hideyori was born
