I see the comments were wondering the same thing as me, lol. Yeah, it's actually well-known that they used firearms back then. I'm sure something will be revealed in the next chapter about why he's interested in the crossbow.

Dd i got trolled? Since ShimizuA said that the released going to be 'next month'. Turns out its already July 😂😂 thank you for the update! I really like this series and stories about feudal japan no matter how unaccurate it is to real history, but hey i'm a fan of otome game that literally don't give a sh*t about history real timeline so i just assumed that our MC here got thrown into a different dimension of sengoku era 😂

Well... I'm waiting to see a good explanation about how Shuzumi managed to make that crossbow.

"Oh shit if this weapon catalogue was found it would be a disaster!"
Makes crossbow anyway. Aaaand now Nobu knows she has knowledge about weaponry and probably will hear she has art of war knowledge from Nobutada.
Welp, its off to military affairs with her now!

It occurred to me during this chapter that Nobunaga is always drawn with a different stroke. I wonder if it is to reflect how Shizuko views him ? Or if it is related to the supernatural phenomenon that summoned her ?

Also, Shizuko, don't kill Kinzou from overwork. Your life would have been over in chapter three if not for him.

Just checking to make sure, but the original did say that Art of War was written during the Ming Dynasty right? If so, that is a mistake with history. The Art of War was written almost 2000 years before the rise of the Ming dynasty.

@Superurfling

"Ming" in this context is simply what Sengoku-era Japanese called the country we now know as China, the same way they used "Nanban" to refer to Europeans, European colonies around them, and foreigners in general.

It's not referring to the Ming dynasty itself, but she's telling him it was written by some guy from China using a term he'd understand. This is something that comes up in a number of Sengoku-era time travel stories (like this one), where the protagonist passes off their knowledge as "Nanban" (exactly what our protagonist does) or flubs by referring to "Europe" or "China" or another country name that was unknown to the Japanese during that era.

Oda Nobunaga isn't a ally nor a enemy. Don't forget that other Cooking Time-travel manga, he let his female maids sleep with a fat guy to get what he wants.

It seems the Maid cares for MC as she used the Crossbow to mislead him

About Page 7.... so sugar can help with wounds, right? The "however" makes it seem like it shouldn't be used as medicines, so I'm confused there.

I mean they already used Arkebuses in Japan at this time, so a Crossbow shouldn't really be that shocking.
