Also I hate that the plot for that is pretty much kids go and start fucking around because they're dumb kids. Wish they had a better reason (or a reason AT ALL) for going out when they already know that people would be willing to kill them for existing. It would've made more sense if only one of the kids left the house, or if both of them were forced out to do something important.

Yeah, the twins going out is a dumb plot device. After killing their actual parents by going out without permission, they would not have set foot outside at all from fear >_>.

@yuu-oniichan: Though, you can't really blame them for being curious, since they are really young kids.
But there is a reason for this "plot" usage here. The last time those kids ventured outside, both of them faced severe backlash and were stoned. But this time someone felt sad and sorry for them and even warned them (and from the looks, he seems to be a priest).

Also, them going out before wasn't the cause for their parents death (as per the Manga).
The twins father died while fighting a monster which attacked their village (along with other people), while their mother died because of over-work.

@yuu-oniichan You do understand that people are idiots, right? You’re pretty much saying “After suffering from a heart attack he wouldn’t have continued his fucked-up style of living”. People deal with trauma in a variety of ways, some just get over it and don’t learn their lesson. Is it dumb? Yes, is it believable? Absolutely.

Hope the author doesn't use "Twins go out and get in trouble" as a plot point for everything that the MC will have to deal with. Kids don't forget trauma like the one they had that easily, they should of developed Agoraphobia tbh.
