Shoujo is the japanese word for girl, so yes shoujo = girl.

It looks like you're under the impression that 'Shoujo' somehow means 'Romance'

I'd like to let you know that "Shoujo" 「少女」is the Japanese word for Young Woman, which can also be interpreted as "Girl".

Shoujo (can be spelled Shojo) has two meanings. You two are correct, one definition means girl.

HOWEVER, It's secondary definition usage is the genre shojo (the exact same character in Japanese) , which is a common term for teenage female demographic romance, etc.

You can check it yourself using any encyclopedia in the world.

Using the word shoujo has context nuance, the way it's used in the title Senryu Shoujo can mean both AT THE SAME TIME in Japenese. That context is lost using it as literally 'girl'

You can use two nouns in Japanese in succession to modify another, making "少女漫画" a noun phrase that means "comic(s) for girls".

Now, your mistake is conflating the English usage of the word, with the Japanese usage of the word. To give you an example: "漫画" means "comic(s)", but "manga" means "Japanese comic(s)". If you go to the English Wikipedia page for "manga" and attempt to visit Japanese version of the page, you'll get "日本の漫画" (nihon no manga, literally: Japanese manga), and if you go to Japanese page for "漫画" and attempt to visit the English page, you'll get... "comics".

There's no "double meaning" involved, especially if you consider that "shoujo" is not even the target demographic of this manga.
