You can't have age/power gap relationship plots (that aren't either coming-of-age or straight up porn) without the older person-- at bare minimum-- not leveraging the maturity they should have or the occupational authority they certainly have.

I also would be okay with a harem ending as well since I really liked both girls and felt bad for the other girl, but at least props to the teacher taking both girls very seriously before making his final choice.
